Suggested Beers to try at Boiling Oar Brewing Company.
Kölsch
Our flagship brew. Clean, crisp, and crushable.
IPA - Imperial / Double
90 minute boil to impart citrus and grapefruit notes.
Stout - Oatmeal
Dark brown in color, this Oatmeal Stout is rich and smooth bodied with slight chocolate and espresso notes. it is a creamy brew with a slightly sweet finish balanced with acidic roastiness.
Wheat Beer - American Pale Wheat
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other
Subtle citrus aroma brings this classic ale to life
Pale Ale - New England / Hazy
Hoppy, bitter, citrusy, clean.
Lager - Amber / Red
Somewhat of a hybrid between your classic American Amber and a California Common. The house Kolsch yeast was used to give this beer a crisp/refreshing finish. Pilsen malt gives it a meduim body, and dry hopped with Mt Hood variety provides classic hop character.
Pale Ale - American
I must say this was the most fun I've had brewing a beer in a very long time! We drove down to Flatland Hop Farm in Taber, AB last Tuesday as they were harvesting their Cascade vines and picked up 30KG's. We immediately drove back to our brewery in Calgary and brewed late into the night to ensure the hops did not degrade in any way. We chose our Pale Ale as the base for this Wet Hop brew as we wanted to go the traditional route and allow the Cascade's to lend themselves to give a huge citrus bomb of aroma.
