Suggested Beers to try at Valley Brewing.
IPA - New England / Hazy
The recipient of the Last Best IPA Tap Takeover judges choice for 2019 and recognized again for fan favourite in 2020! This hazy style IPA features our favourite Australian hops and has a medium-full body thanks to a low attenuating dry yeast and a malt bill packed with wheat, flaked wheat and flaked oats. Namesake has big notes of juicy citrus, tropical fruit, stone fruit and piny resiny goodness. All of our beers are made with re-mineralized RO water, giving us the ability to accentuate flavours and mouthfeel true-to-style, in this case we use a specific ratio of chloride to sulfate to accentuate body versus hop sharpness and dryness.
Fruit Beer
This hazy wheat beer is naturally carbonated thanks to the addition of 250kg of delicious raspberries and strawberries during fermentation. Fresh jam aroma and a berry fresh flavour, a little sour, a little tart. Just a simple wheat beer to pair with smokin’ hot summers in the Drumheller valley.
Pale Ale - New England / Hazy
The younger sibling to our award winning “Namesake” Hazy IPA, this juicy pale ale has big citrusy notes of peach, pineapple, orange and melon. It's an easy drinker with medium body and gentle lingering bitterness.
Lager - Pale
A collaboration between Valley Brewing and good friends Friendly Folk Coffee Roasters Drumheller AB. This deceptively roasty lager will catch you off guard - don't let the colour fool you, it has huge coffee aroma and flavour without extracts or cold brew coffee, just whole beans.
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
This Saison-style beer has earthy, cloves and lemon notes up front with a dry, spicy peppercorn finish.
Sour - Fruited
Our May Day Kettle Sour Series explores different fruits and citrus to be paired with our base sour recipe. Brewed with lactose sugar, Tahitian vanilla bean, blackberries and lemons.
Pilsner - German
A mash-up of Pilsner malt and German hops, finishing dry and refreshing. Expect notes of cracker and bread from the malt and floral, slightly spicy notes from the hops. All of our beers are made with re-mineralized RO water, giving us the ability to accentuate flavours and mouthfeel true-to-style, in this case a very soft water profile.
Lager - Vienna
A sloth and flavourful lager with balanced notes of bread crust, baked goods, toffee and caramel. All of our beers are made with re-mineralized RO water, giving us the ability to accentuate flavours and mouthfeel true-to-style, in this case a balanced soft water profile.
Porter - American
Prepare for notes of fresh coffee beans and milk chocolate elevated with a blast of real bourbon vanilla that creates an almost mocha sensation. A slightly sweet start and full body transitions into a dry finish making this Porter easy to drink.
Sour - Fruited
A perfect pairing of lactose sugar and Tahitian vanilla bean with a heaping pile of real strawberries and rhubarb
Sour - Fruited
Our May Day Kettle Sour Series explores different fruits and citrus to be paired with our base sour recipe. Brewed with lactose sugar, Tahitian vanilla bean and tart cherry purée.
IPA - Imperial / Double New England / Hazy
A new seasonal to expand on our award winning hazy beers, our Rustler features two very unique new-school hops and is double dry hopped at over 20g/L over a hefty base of flaked wheat and flaked oats.
Lager - American Light
A collaboration between Last Chance Saloon and Valley Brewing. Brewed with barley and corn, a crisp lager with a dry and refreshing finish…a light lager perfect for any time of year!
Sour - Fruited
Our May Day Kettle Sour Series explores different fruits and citrus to be paired with our base sour recipe. Peach + Pineapple + Mango : Light bodied and tropical sour.
IPA - American
Swindler - Hop Tandem Series Vol.1 Simcoe + Amarillo West Coast IPA Balanced bitterness with pungent citrus and lingering pine/woody/earthy notes with just enough biscuit malt sweetness.
Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy
A collaboration between Valley and Outcast, meant to be bold and strong. This Wee Heavy defies the “laws” of its style by using peated malt, that lends notes of leather and wood to compliment the caramel, raisin and bready notes. A smooth drinker - it will warm you up ... just wait for it!
Sour - Fruited
A hot weather sensation - citrus oranges, vanilla bean and lactose combine in our 5th iteration of the May Day series!
Cider - Dry
Made with crisp B.C. Apple, this refreshing cider finishes dry and tart.
Lager - American
Brewed using both barley and a high percentage of rice, the rice adjunct lends a more subtle flavour and lighter colour - adding to its drinkability!
Pale Ale - American
A west coast-style pale ale double dry hopped with Strata. A mix pine, mint, earth, with some orange, peach and sweet fruit undertones.
Schwarzbier
Originally in collaboration with our friends at Common Crown Brewing(Calgary, AB). 2022 Canadian Brewing Awards gold winner for European-style amber to dark lager. Look for balanced notes of toast, chocolate, cocoa and coffee with mild sweetness and a dry finish.
Pilsner - German
Go Dragons Go! Branded for our local AJHL team, the Drumheller Dragons. A mash-up of Pilsner malt and German hops, finishing dry and refreshing. Expect notes of cracker and bread from the malt and floral, slightly spicy notes from the hops. All of our beers are made with re-mineralized RO water, giving us the ability to accentuate flavours and mouthfeel true-to-style, in this case a very soft water profile
Schwarzbier
Canadian Brewing Awards 2022 Gold winner for European Amber to Dark Lager! This beer balances notes of coffee and chocolate, finishing with mild sweetness and dryness.
Pilsner - Czech / Bohemian
A very soft water profile and step mash regime way for a rich, breezy and sleazy Czech hopped pils.
